Thin skin is a thin soft rubber foil (semi transparent) in variouse skin and coloure patterns. Suitable for tying nymph thoraxes, shrimph backs, pupa wing origins.. Thin skin foil is NOT a self glued, it is just a thin rubber and no more. Variouse patterns and coloures will meet demands of every nymph tyer!
At faunaflyshop, we suggest you chose finer patterns for smaller and more rough patterns for larger thoraxes. This is how you will get the most pattern surface on you nymph!
We made a suggestions regarding the options of Thin skin pattern and hook sizes. But feel free to experimente on your own!
Hook sizes 2-8: mob, mon, moo, mogs, mo-olive
10-14: mby, mbo, mbb, mb-olive,
16-20: sob, scs, stb, scb
Thin skin comes in 18x5cm format.
Thin skin foil is attached to a hard paper (no glue) which you need to remove before placing Thin skin on your nymph!
